YouTube Moves to Make Conspiracy Videos Harder to Find.

No conspiracies allowed?

>In a blog post, YouTube said it would no longer suggest videos with “borderline content” or those that “misinform users in a harmful way” even if the footage did not violate its community guidelines.

>YouTube said the number of videos affected by the policy change amounted to fewer than 1 percent of all videos on the platform. But given the billions of videos in YouTube’s library, it is still a large number. YouTube and other powerful technology platforms have faced rising criticism for failing to police the content that users post.

>YouTube’s recommendation engine has been denounced for pushing users to troubling content even when they showed little interest in such videos. It has also been blamed for widening the political divide in the country, pushing already partisan viewers to more extreme points of view.

>The new policy is also the latest example of YouTube’s taking a more aggressive approach to content that many find distasteful even if it is not in violation of the service’s community guidelines.

>In late 2017, YouTube started putting “controversial religious or supremacist” content in a “limited state” so the videos are not monetized with advertising, and features such as comments and likes are turned off. Some videos appear behind a brief message saying the videos may be inappropriate or offensive.

>YouTube provided only three examples of the types of videos that it would stop recommending: those promoting a phony miracle cure for a serious illness, ones claiming the earth is flat or content making blatantly false claims about historic events like the Sept. 11 attacks.

>The company declined to provide more detail on what other videos would be classified borderline.

SAN FRANCISCO — Whether it is a video claiming the earth is flat or the moon landing was faked, conspiracy theories are not hard to find on Google’s YouTube. But in a significant policy change, YouTube said on Friday that it planned to stop recommending them.
After years of criticism that YouTube leads viewers to videos that spread misinformation, the company said it was changing what videos it recommended to users.

YouTube is not taking down the targeted videos, and it will still recommend them to users who subscribe to a channel that creates such content. Also, YouTube will not exclude the so-called borderline videos from search results.
“We think this change strikes a balance between maintaining a platform for free speech and living up to our responsibility to users,” YouTube wrote in the blog post.
YouTube said it was constantly adjusting its recommendation system, noting that it made hundreds of changes last year. In its early years, YouTube said, it suggested videos the company thought would lead to more clicks or views, but it found that people who created videos had started trying to game the system with clickbait titles.
YouTube recently said it wanted to recommend videos that viewers would consider “time well spent.” YouTube also said it had been working to broaden recommendations so that they weren’t too similar to the most recent video.
Much like the powerful and opaque algorithms that govern the search results of YouTube’s parent company, Google, the video service is secretive about the factors weighed by its systems that dictate which videos are recommended.
YouTube did not reveal much about how it would determine which videos would be excluded from its recommendations. The decisions on specific videos will be made not by YouTube employees, but by so-called machine-learning algorithms.
Human raters from “all over the U.S.,” the company said, will watch different YouTube videos and provide feedback on the quality of those videos. Those judgments will help inform what the algorithm flags.
Google has adopted a similar approach in determining the quality of its search results.
YouTube said it would start making a gradual change on a small set of videos in the United States, but it plans to introduce the alterations globally as the system becomes more accurate.

The full internal filepath of the blacklist, according to another source, is:

According to the source, a software engineer in the thread also noted that “a bunch of terms related to the abortion referendum in Ireland” had been added to the blacklist – another change with potentially dramatic consequences on the national policies of a western democracy.

youtube_controversial_query_blacklist

At least one post in the discussion thread revealed the existence of a file called “youtube_controversial_query_blacklist,” which contains a list of YouTube search terms that Google manually curates. In addition to the terms “abortion,” “abortions,” “Maxine Waters,” and search terms related to the Irish abortion referendum, a Google software engineer noted that the blacklist includes search terms related to terrorist attacks. (the posts specifically mentions that the “Strasbourg terrorist attack” as being on the list).

“If you look at the other entries recently added to the youtube_controversial_query_blacklist(e.g., entries related to the Strasbourg terrorist attack), the addition of abortion seems…out-of-place,” wrote the software engineer, according to the source.

After learning of the existence of the blacklist, Breitbart News obtained a partial screenshot of the full blacklist file from a source within Google. It reveals that the blacklist includes search terms related to both mass shootings and the progressive anti-second amendment activist David Hogg.

This suggests Google has followed the lead of Democrat politicians, who have repeatedly pushed tech companies to censor content related to the Parkland school shooting and the Parkland anti-gun activists. It’s part of a popular new line of thought in the political-media establishment, which views the public as too stupid to question conspiracy theories for themselves.

I don't want people to "wake up". "Waking up" is a bad metaphor for how ideas spread. It entails some sort of shifting period from darkness to light. Any sort of enlightenment leads to blindness. See Plato's Cave or the Book of Exodus: those that reach the light either reach a false light or are blinded for a period. I want the period before the light: darkness, discovery, and creeping through caves. I want my conspiracy theory aesthetic back that allows for a higher tier of conspiracy theorists and their audience: edgy, dark, schizo, and scares the shit out of boomers and blue pilled normie leftists. I don't want people like you: generic Alex Jones watching, low IQ, neocon boomer hillbillies that love Israel while pretending to be one of us by trying to ape our memes.

All the good stuff was always created on the edges and the periphery. That's how image board culture got big. Not because of the truth and the light, but because of the darkness and the edges. Being mainstream is for fucking faggots, and this sort of strategy by leftists and the jew is self-defeating because they constantly flex as the counter-culture. The far right is the counter-culture now. By placing us on the edges and in the dark, they've created the cultural conditions for scary rumors about the forbidden knowledge you-aren't-allowed-to-know and non-normies and the curious will seek us out. Thus unintentionally spreading our red-pills.

This shit really possess me off, it I’m not surprised they did this. It was binging those videos that helped me wake up, but now you can’t even find them. I spent a few minutes playing around after reading this, and the only results that come up are the official narrative news channels and “fact checker”/“debunking” videos. They’re definitely trying to memory hold some issues here.

Google runs youtube at a loss in order to maintain market share, its a bit of a loss leader for them in that it brings in other revenue and clients. The only way you could compete without being pornhub would be a subscription service I think. The hard part is getting people to pay for something they get for free already. See youtube red.

Sometimes you can learn about other things which demonstrably are true though.
Did you know the ADL had a private detective spying on
>Along with files on the Ku Klux Klan, White Aryan Resistance, Islamic Jihad, and the Jewish Defense League were data on the NAACP, the African National Congress (ANC), the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the United Auto Workers, the AIDS activist group ACT UP, Mother Jones magazine, the TASS Soviet/Russian news agency, Greenpeace, Jews for Jesus, and the National Lawyers Guild; there were also files on politicians, including Democratic U.S. Representative Nancy Pelosi, former Republican U.S. Representative Pete McCloskey, and activist Lyndon LaRouche

SINCE THE 1930s. When they got caught the case was thrown out and the FBI was ordered to share their data with the ADL.

Lift the Veil did a good video on this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hijycz6ZHy8

I'd be far more concerned with Windows 10 literally having keylogger, taking screenshots of your screen, sending your handwriting data to ms, Defender, office 365 and 2016 literally sending all your files to microsoft, microsoft analyzing your OneDrive contents and Windows 10 even taking pictures of the person logging into the system with the camera

I haven't installed it on my main machine for a good reason

Step 1) Download them from a browser profile not linked to anything else. Be sure also to do it with a spoofed random MAC. Use tor or coffee-shop wifi - there may be a steganographic serial number embedded in any media you download.

2) Upload video to bitchute using tor. Probably they don't allow this from tor exit nodes - I have not tried. If not, you have to use the coffee-shop spoofed mac method. Not sure if you need to leave your node up at the coffee-shop for a while until others start downloading/spreading your vid. Hopefully bitchute does this for you - probably does. You should be running webtorrent and seeding videos regularly at home so you can leach during stuff like this guiltlessly.

Why be so secret? Because copyright will be used to prosecute you if someone gets a bug up their ass. This way there's no 'you' to prosecute and the videos just get taken down. Then they're playing whack a mole because the vid spreads further via noobs.

Casual reposters and noobs are mostly too ineffective to be worthy targets, but if you become too effective, you will become a target. This nips any possibility of that in the bud.

You thought the manipulation from television and movies was bad? It will be nothing compared to the manipulation done by the big social media companies.

I'll make this real simple. Either the Republicans force the big tech companies to allow free speech and be nuetral, or WE WILL LOSE. Period. Full stop.

We are in an information war right now. If we lose the information war, WE LOSE EVERYTHING. It's that important. This issue is probably more important than any other issue facing us right now. We need to be getting on Trump about it. This is just as important as the wall. If this is not dealt with in the Trump Presidency, we will probably never get another chance.

For months it's been harder and harder to find anything that you don't know the exact title of. Go type in any vaguely right wing idea and you'll get nothing but top results from CNN and ABC, anything with the little verified checkmark. They'll put a little blurb about the illuminati or sandyhook on the video itself in a lame attempt to put the normies back to sleep.
That just means we'll have to post good videos here more

From the ADL and SPLC which alert and pressure telecoms, and globecorps who advertise on platforms. The ADL moved to Silicon Valley last year dude, they have employees inside Alphabet like a yid HR Dept. And they have a warchest of like $50m or more in shadow donations.

I think they don't like videos like this one on Robert Mueller, the media, and 9/11.

Hell, they do worse than censor. The creator of this video which exposed long time FNC reporter (((Rick Leventhal))) as a media intel asset was KILLED BY POLICE in bizzare circumstances.
