Drug overdose deaths at record high ‒ CDC





From 1999 to 2015, the number of people who died from drug overdoses tripled, according to a new report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Almost half of them were caused by heroin and other opioids. Opioids are driving down the life expectancy for white Americans, whose rate of fatal drug overdoses is rising faster than that of any other ethnic group. RT America’s Trinity Chavez has the story.
